ไทยไม่ทน อเมริกาต้องยุติแทรกแซงไทย! นายบุญญ์พัชรเกษม เสริมวัฒนากุล กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท 189 คอมมิวนิเคชั่นส์ อินเทลลิเจนซ์ เผยแพร่จดหมายประท้วงการกระทำไม่เหมาะสมของโฆษกกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ สหรัฐอเมริกา เรียกร้องให้ยุติการแทรกแซงไม่เหมาะสมต่อประเทศไทย กรณีศาลรัฐธรรมนูญตัดสินยุบพรรคก้าวไกลเมื่อวันที่ 7 สิงหาคม 2567 เนื้อหาในจดหมายประท้วงมีดังนี้ "To Mr. Spokesperson of U.S. Department of State, Office of the Spokesperson Attached to His Excellency the United States Ambassador to Thailand Subject: Urgent Request for Cessation of Inappropriate Intervention shown in the Immediate Release issued on August 7, 2024 on the dissolution of Move Forward Party in Thailand which is regarded to Thailand's Internal Affairs. Your Excellency, As far as my concern, I am writing on behalf of the Thai people to express our profound concern and condemnation regarding the recent inappropriate interventions by the United States Embassy in Thailand's internal affairs, regarding to the Constituition Court's judgement on the dissolution of the Move Forward Party. As widely mentioned, It pointed to a party proposal to amend the law on March 25, 2021, policy statements during its campaign for the May 14, 2023 election, and expressions of intent to amend the law through many political activities and channels. Thus, the court said that the party proposed Section 112 be amended to separate wrongdoings under the section from other offences against national security, make wrongdoers eligible for pardon and enable settlement. According to the court, such attempts diminished the value of the royal institution, showed intention to abuse the royal institution for political gain in the general election, hurt people’s faith in the institution and affected national security. (Bangkok Post Website, August 7, 2024) From points of view shown in the Immediate Release, I truly believe that such actions are a clear violation of international norms and diplomatic protocol. They have unnecessarily escalated tensions between our two nations, which have historically enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial relationship. While we, Thai people, do recognize the importance of freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly, we thoroughly cannot condone foreign interference in our domestic affairs. The United States Spokesperson's action has emboldened certain elements within Thailand to challenge the authority of our democratConstituitional affairs. The timing of these interventions is particularly troubling, given the current political situation of heightened bilateral tensions. It is imperative that we should maintain stability and cooperation between our nations, especially in the face of mutually shared challenges. We urge you to immediately cease any further interference in Thailand's internal affairs. Your actions are not only inappropriate but also counterproductive to the long-term interests of both our countries. We believe that the United States Spokesperson Office and Embassy in Thailand can play a constructive role in promoting dialogue and understanding between Thailand and the United States. However, this can only be achieved through respectful and non-interfering diplomacy. Last but not least, failure to address this issue promptly could have serious consequences for the future of our diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United States of America..
