Single Sign-On (SSO) is a key authentication technology that improves both security and the user experience. By enabling users to log on once and access multiple applications, SSO obviates password fatigue, mitigates credential-based risks, and enhances IT efficiency. Organizations reap the rewards of centralized identity management, simplified access control, and enhanced compliance enforcement. SSO, however, can be a single point of failure if secured inadequately. To counter this risk, companies should adopt Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), employ adaptive authentication, and implement real-time threat detection to facilitate secure and hassle-free access and avoid unauthorized intrusion.
